Rilla follows strange music to a gaudily decorated ballroom, where the Troll Queen is entertaining her Troll guests. It’s clear their society is infatuated with human trends, though the results of this infatuation—fashion, music, dance, decor—are overdone and make no aesthetic sense. Once past the shock of this grotesque scene, Rilla notices a bedraggled figure being “kept” by the Troll Queen: It is the Polar Bear Prince.
